Regulations

We have made some changes in the rules. You can see the new version here. The modified elements are in bold in the text.

Flymaster and Telegram

For safety and race tracking we will use Flymaster trackers, linked to your smartphone with the Telegram application. Recharging is the responsibility of the runner, only the cable will be provided. The battery capacity is 1800 mAh and the announced autonomy is 20h with 1 position point per second.

Information will be transmitted via Telegram by the OC during the race. It can be weather, safety or other information. Each competitor is required to consult them.

Please follow the procedure to connect to the Flymaster chat-bot in Telegram (here). The login details will be sent by e-mail.

Documents

The registration information concerning the pilot’s licence or IPPI card, the pilot’s liability insurance and the accident insurance certificate must be completed in the profile. Otherwise the competitor will not be allowed to start.

Together with the Telegram identifiers, you will receive the release form, which you must print out and complete at home. You will have to hand it in before the lunch/briefing in exchange for your tracker.

Airspace

Various PRO Natura nature reserves, federal free districts and quiet zones are located along the route. All these areas are shown on this map. As stated in the regulations, the participants are fully responsible for the respect of these zones and are solely responsible for the consequences (penal, administrative, classification, …) of any infringement.

Each competitor can obtain information on the flight restrictions in the region of the race on various websites, the FSVL, the Club de Vol libre de la Gruyère. the Saanen aerodrome, the gliding map or the DABS.

Publications

Publications are no longer taken into account in the ranking (see new regulations). However, at least one publication per day allows participants to take part in the draw which will take place during the prize-giving. We therefore strongly encourage you to share your photos through the portal provided for this purpose, the link is always available in your profile.

Practical information

For the parking, there is a party in Gruyères during the weekend. Please group together as much as possible, to reduce the number of cars parked near the airfield (limited to 24 hours risk of penalty). It is possible to park in front of the Gruyère Parapente building, route de l’Aérdorome 3, 1663 Epagny, there will be no penalty but spaces are limited. The airfield parking is free and your vehicles can stay there until Sunday without any problem. From there, shuttle buses will take you to the Cité de Gruyères for lunch, briefing and start. For those who would like to warm up and walk up the hill it takes about 20 minutes.

There are showers in the immediate vicinity of the car park. We will only have access to them on Sunday, so your belongings will have to remain in your vehicle during the race.

Some of the runners complete the race without a support person. We encourage teams with chaperones to carry extra water to provide to other participants in case of encounters or emergencies. For the purpose of meeting or supporting each other, chaperones can communicate with each other via a Telegram group. The link will be sent by e-mail.

We are looking forward to seeing you on Friday, June 3rd in Gruyères!
